Well Forged Irons from Callaway

After receiving feedback straight from Tour players, Callaway Golf designers decided to refine the Callaway X-Forged Irons. The end result is precision clubs that let elite players dissect the course. Forged from soft carbon steel, the Callaway X-Forged Irons head has been redesigned with more bounce and camber and a tighter sole radius. The thin topline, narrow sole and short blade length allow for excellent workability. The Flighted CG Design produces strong trajectories and premium distance control while the new Progressive Dual Notch Weighting allows weight to be precisely positioned for optimized performance throughout the set.

The new Callaway X-Forged Irons scored very highly on rack appeal: all our testers thought these were a sexy looking set of irons that mark a real break from the Callaway tradition. They feature a Flighted CG Design for added feel, trajectory and distance control and a Notch Back, shorter length and minimal offset suited to elite players. Performance was excellent, with sweet and responsive feedback and solid distance results. However, despite consistent praise, the Callaway X-Forged Irons failed to truly stand out in our mega test, and fell short of our awards.

I really like these Callaway X-Forged Irons after finally deciding to switch to forged I think i made the right choice. If you are going to make the switch from cavity back to forged I would like to let you know that it is a lot different when you play then when you hit balls on the range although the feel is unbelievable on the range it takes time to get the feel on the course. I would recommend this Callaway X-Forged Irons to a low handicapper。
